Get Married on Looe Island!

It’s one of Cornwall’s best-kept wedding secrets

St George’s Island – most locals call it simply Looe Island – is a tranquil 22-acre private island run by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust. It offers incredible views up and down the dramatic Cornish coastline and across to our lovely little fishing port. During the summer there’s a full seal colony on the south side of the island. (Ask your skipper if they’re around on the day of your wedding and he might do a little detour for you.)

Commonwood Manor has the licence to hold wedding ceremonies in this magical spot. Our unique package includes guests and the bride and groom arriving by boat from the mainland. Because the island is now protected land for the abundant wildlife, numbers here are strictly limited to 32 guests.

For your wedding breakfast, however, you can still invite up to 65 people to dine and celebrate at Commonwood Manor. We can serve a variety of different cuisines and styles to suit your taste and budget, including a custom-designed buffet. Alternatively, we can accommodate guests in our marquee which comes complete with solid wood flooring, is fully lined and includes; dance floor, lighting and heating.
